Tracey Randall
Tracey Randall works full-time in the fast food industry, surrounded all day by cheeseburgers, fries and ice cream.
Even a fitness model would be tempted, and Tracey found herself gaining weight by enjoying fast food a little too often.
By November 2006 Tracey's weight had climbed to 196 pounds, too much for her 5-feet-6 frame. She contacted Jill Ings-Robillard, owner of Believe Fitness and Nutrition in Caledonia. Jill, a certified personal trainer and university-educated nutritionist, runs Believe Fitness and Nutrition.
Jill provided the motivation and knowledge that Tracey needed to take off the extra pounds. "My goals were to get off the couch and get moving," says Tracey, who played on a ladies' ball team from May to August but did little else the rest of the year.
"I needed something to motivate me to be more active," says Tracey, who found the inspiration she was looking for in Jill.
From November 2006 to early spring 2007 Tracey met with Jill once a week for a one- hour, full body workout using weight machines, free weights and doing body weight exercises such as lunges and squats. Tracey then started training at Believe Fitness and Nutrition twice a week. "If I can sneak in a third time I will," says Tracey, who lost 50 pounds by exercising regularly and making healthier food choices.
Tracey now continues to maintain her weight and reach new goals by attending Better Body Boot Camp on a regular basis.

"In November 2007, I decided to increase fitness level and lose some weight. Since this wasn't a new situation for me I fell back on my solutions that have "worked" before - going to the gym and going to Weight Watchers.
Unfortunately after 6 months, I had only lost about 8 lbs and began to look for something different to challenge and motivate me. I saw the ad for Jill's boot camp in the paper and beginning in June 2008 I have been a participant ever since.
In first 6 months I lost 30 lbs and 20.5 inches!!! ...I credit Jill's boot camp with making the difference. It motivated and encouraged me to continue to workout and watch what I eat.
Increasing your fitness level and losing weight demands a few changes and I would recommend Jill's boot camp to anyone!!"

I started gaining weight with each pregnancy and after gaining 60 lbs each, with all 3 kids, and not losing much of it, I was depressed. When I stepped on the scale, I was shocked to I went through all the justifications of being heavy: I have 3 kids so I will never be thin again; I just have to be happy and accept it; I can wear bigger sizes and still look nice; etc. I guess 6 years after my last pregnancy, I hit rock bottom.
There were two triggers which helped me realize I really wasn’t happy with how I looked. The first thing that triggered me in making changes was that I tried on my capri’s because spring had sprung. I felt like a 10 lb sausage squeezed into a 5 lb casing. The other thing was that I had a new family ring that I got for Mother’s Day. It was so tight on my finger and so was my wedding ring. They wouldn’t come off! At the same time, there were ads in the local Caledonia paper advertising Jill’s new boot camp.
A couple of friends said if I would go, then they would go too. I agreed, but it was Sun morning at 8 am. Also, I had NEVER been physically active. NEVER! So, I pretty much didn’t put much faith in myself keeping this up. As the summer wore on, my weight started to drop for the first time in 10+ years.
Now, two years later, I go to Jill’s boot camp 4-5 times/week and I have lost 30 lbs over the last 2 years. When I started, I bought 3 lb weights and now I use 8 lb weights to do most of the exercises.
Boot Camp is still challenging, but that is the way Jill plans it. I feel great. I cannot explain how wonderful it feels to have energy and know that I am healthy. I can feel my biceps. I can run up and down the stairs, no problem. I can do push-ups! I get so many compliments about how healthy I look.
I want to say thank you to Jill from the very bottom of my heart. Without her, without boot camp, without Believe Fitness I KNOW I would still be carrying around 30+ extra lbs, out of breath from carrying laundry downstairs, and still wondering if I really do have muscles in my arms. I have my health and my confidence, all due to Jill. I cannot thank her enough for these gifts.
