Meet Christa Kerr
Christa Kerr is a mother of 2 children and she understands well the juggling act of running a family, eating healthy and staying active. Christa has much experience cooking and eating well. She learned at a young age that eating well was important. Her mother had some major health setbacks when Christa was young that really seemed to improve when she began to eat better and change her lifestyle. This had a strong impact on Christa's career choice to study nutrition at university following high school.
Christa's education started in Saskatoon, SK where she began her degree in Nutrition and, after getting married, transferred to Ryerson Polytechnic University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food & Nutrition. This program was comprehensive and focused on the big picture by looking at how our families, our society and politics can affect our food intake and nutritional status. She learned about food access issues, promoting healthy living, how disease impacts our bodies and how poor eating habits can lead to body breakdown.
When it comes to nutrition and weight loss, Christa has years of experience with food and loves to cook and experiment with how to make healthy food taste great. She brings a wealth of information to the table when it comes to understanding how our relationship with food is developed from a young age and what we can do about creating a healthy relationship with food in our families.
